What kind of redraw issues? and when did you hear this? I've been using
TightVNC for quite some time now (at least half a year now) and have not
run into those kinds of issues. Before I got DSL, I used to use my
dialup 28.8 (usually 26400) connection to connect to my 1600x1200
desktop at work. It was actually usable with TightVNC. But that's what
it's been optimized for.
