|other problem, how i configure a isa 3com  (3c5x9), the option-128 dont work
|
|please helpme
|

  Please put in the /etc/dhcpd.conf file the _two_ lines:

        option option-128     e4:45:74:68:00:00;
        option option-129     "NIC=3c509";

  Then, your networking card may need to be appropriately setup. You can do
this with the 3com setup/testing tool for 3c509 EtherLink III cards, running
under dos, that you can find at the following address:

 http://www.rlyeh.it/~asita/utili/3c5x9cfg.exe

3c509 are jumperless cards. I quote from the Ethernet-HOWTO:

3c509B users should use either the supplied DOS utility to disable the plug
and play support, and to set the output media to what they require. The linux
driver currently does not support the Autodetect media setting, so you have to
select 10Base-T or 10Base-2 or AUI.
