    Nope, normally (outside of the Granite Mountain of NORAD, etc) The LTSP box and 
all it's workstations all live on the same network with the rest of the machines 
inside, and one of the other machines makes the actual connection to the net.

    BUT MAKE SURE THIS OTHER MACHINE IS A FIREWALL, AS WELL AS A ROUTER, or you'll 
cause more peoblems than you cure.  I suggest something like this:

    It's a little box that you admin from a web browser, and it takes care of the 
connection to the net, wether connecting by a modem or cable modem.  I know it works, 
and that the system's clean and well built, because I made it.  It's the exact same 
setup I'll be using in a week when my servers go off to a server farm and all I need 
is a firewall.  These take more time to setup than you'd expect; issues like memory 
used, BIOS problems and software loading take real time.  But this one's ready to drop 
into place.  And, it's pretty cheap, too.
