James, A very sunny day! So much so that it caused a delay of a few days for the article. Sorry!
But I am a little bit confused. If you used IceWM before, then why do you need an article? You probably know more about it than I do. For one thing I don't know of an _autostart_ spot in IceWM. No offense, but : Wallpapers? Terminal windows? Themes? In a hostile environment like a school? One of my goals with IceWM is to eliminate those toys! Actually, my starting point is to eliminate access to each and every available application and tool altogether. After that I gradually allow access to strictly those goodies the logged user needs on a per user basis by providing corresponding taskbar buttons and/or menu choices. It's a little bit like the basic firewall philosophy : allow none, deny all. I realize that sounds dictatorial, but otherwise I might just as well stick to KDE or Gnome! Sorry again if that is not what you expected.
