Hi, Two hopes: Hope someone in here can help me out - quick!?! and Hope this is the right forum...
Been up all night trying to get PXE and Etherboot working on 3c905c-tx-m cards. In case you wonder why - cromutil refuses to flash eeprom on these cards (I've got 20). So I came across this 'PXE and Etherboot' HOWTO - figured that could work just as good, followed the instructions (that is - got a lzpxe image for 3c905c-tpo from rom-o-matic and did the dhcpd.conf stuff), tried booting a client machine with said card, and - it didn't work ... So - this is what I see: The client network card does PXE, does tftp and gets the 3c905c-tpo.lzpxe image, unloads PXE, exec the .lzpxe, discovers the network card and tries to communicate DHCP-ways. But - the MAC has changed to some fake one (DHCP server sees the request, but is not to respond to the client card) Also - from what I see on the client - after .lzpxe is loaded it discovers the card as having id 0x9400, this differs from what 3c905c-txm should have (0x9200 according to etherboot's 'NIC') Well - long night - no luck. I'm desperate! Please help!
