I also installed from tgz (SuSE server) and adjusted where needed, as I wanted to learn more about how LTSP is set up. Sorry I can't give specific help, as I don't know RH or your distro. For SuSE, the main issues were such things as dhcpd.conf, enabling tftp in /etc/inetd.conf, checking /etc/hosts.allow, and configuring X. It is porbably simpler to start with a run level 3 in your lts.conf for your DC test cfg until the DC is booting without problems. The tgz's have an install script (install.sh) which gets you close. In may case I had to adjust the IP's which the scripts put in the various cfg files so that it would conform to my existing IP scheme. ---------------------------------------------------------------- John Karns [EMAIL PROTECTED] ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _____________________________________________________________________ Ltsp-discuss mailing list.
