(COM 2 in DOS parlance) Otherwise, the config looks good. I have a similar situation. My card is supposed to be supported by XFree86 4.1.0, but I get garbled gibberish on-screen. 3.3.6 works. My config: [pokey] XSERVER = XF86_SVGA X_MOUSE_PROTOCOL = "Microsoft" X_MOUSE_DEVICE = "/dev/ttyS0" X_MOUSE_RESOLUTION = 50 X_COLOR_DEPTH = 16 > In section 6.6.1.2 I found reference to kdmrc > (/etc/opt/kde2/share/config/kdm/kdmrc) needing [Xdmcp] Enable entry set to > true. If the server is at runlevel 5 (or whatever SuSE calls the GUI runlevel), then you need to kill KDM and let it re-spawn, so it will re-read its config. If you logged in via KDM then it might dump you. I deny my local console the graphical login to avoid problems like this. It does indeed sound like you just need to turn on XDMCP. -- Michael McIntyre zone 6b in SW VA Silvan Pagan umount /mnt/windows;mke2fs /dev/hde1;tune2fs -j /dev/hde1 www.geocities.com/Paris/Rue/5407/index.html ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _____________________________________________________________________ Ltsp-discuss mailing list.
