Hi Jon,

Thanks for your advice. dhcpd can be started but the diskless workstation
still could not connect to LTSP server.

My test result is as follows:

Edit /etc/sysconfig/hdcp

Add DHCPARGS=eth0

# service dhcpd restart
Shutting down dhcpd: [FAILED]
Starting dhcpd: [ OK ]

# tail -f /var/log/messages
Aug 22 20:09:56 localhost dhcpd:
Aug 22 20:09:56 localhost dhcpd: Listening on Socket/eth0/WORKSTATIONS
Aug 22 20:09:56 localhost dhcpd: Sending on Socket/eth0/WORKSTATIONS
Aug 22 20:09:56 localhost dhcpd: dhcpd startup succeeded
Aug 22 20:10:19 localhost dhcpd: DHCPDISCOVER from 00:50:fc:6c:70:f7 via eth0
Aug 22 20:10:19 localhost dhcpd: no free leases on subnet WORKSTATIONS
Aug 22 20:10:29 localhost dhcpd: DHCPDISCOVER from 00:50:fc:6c:70:f7 via eth0
Aug 22 20:10:29 localhost dhcpd: no free leases on subnet WORKSTATIONS
Aug 22 20:10:50 localhost dhcpd: DHCPDISCOVER from 00:50:fc:6c:70:f7 via eth0
Aug 22 20:10:50 localhost dhcpd: no free leases on subnet WORKSTATIONS

The diskless workstation works well on K12osn project. It has 2 ethernet
cards, one with a boot ROM and another w/o boot ROM. I tried both with the
assistance of a bootiong floppy (also from k12osn project).

I also checked the ethernet cards of the LTSP server and found both activated.

Kindly advise what mistake I have committed.

Thanks in advance

Stephen
