Cygwin works fine using, as an example,
"\cygwin\usr\x11r6\bin\xwin.exe -query 192.168.0.254 -fullscreen"

The ever-trustworthy (and a bit slow) VNC also works fine ...

Then if you ran Win4Lin on the Linux box you could have the interesting
situation of running very unstable Window$ supporting somewhat more stable
Cygwin supporting very stable Linux supporting a now somewhat less unstable
Window$....  ad infinitum ...;->
