Is the ws002 the workstation that can't boot? If so, try the IP-Address
instead of the hostname. Make sure that you have installed the right
X-Server-Packet (ltsp_x336_svga-3.0.0-i386.tgz).
I am a little bid puzzled. This LTSP server and diskless workstation are for test only. They are connected with a crossover cable. There is no other diskless workstation connected to LTSP server for this test.

Sorry in my last posting I have not indicated the complete content of lts.conf which is listed hereinunder

[Default]
SERVER = 192.168.0.254
XSERVER = auto
X_MOUSE_PROTOCOL = "PS/2"
X_MOUSE_DEVICE = "/dev/psaux"
X_MOUSE_RESOLUTION = 400
X_MOUSE_BUTTONS = 3
USE_XFS = N
LOCAL_APPS = N
RUNLEVEL = 5

[ws001]
XSERVER = auto
LOCAL_APPS = N
USE_NFS_SWAP = N
SWAPFILE_SIZE = 48m
RUNLEVEL = 5

[ws002]
XSERVER = XF86_SVGA
LOCAL_APPS = N
USE_NFS_SWAP = N
SWAPFILE_SIZE = 64m
RUNLEVEL = 3

[ws004]
DNS_SERVER = 192.168.0.254
XSERVER = auto
X4_BUSID = "PCI:0:15:0"
X_MODE_0 = 800x600
LOCAL_APPS = N
USE_NFS_SWAP = N
SWAPFILE_SIZE = 64m
RUNLEVEL = 5

When I removed this problem diskless workstation and connected another diskless workstation the later booted through connecting to the LTSP server without problem.

Before I start to move taking Jim's advice, I expect to have some more advice.

Stephen
