Did I get that right: I opened a console (on my server) and typed in your lines... but there was a time out of the "connection"... I don't know where the problem is. Now these lines are in my inetd.conf: # Tftp service is provided primarily for booting. Most sites # run this only on machines acting as "boot servers." # tftp dgram udp wait root /usr/bin/tftp in.tftpd -s /tftpboot bootps dgram udp wait root /usr/sbin/bootpd bootpd -c /tftpboot But this didn't help... maybe bootp is the same as dhcp!? OK, originally the path to tftpd was: /usr/sbin/in.tftpd, but this didn't work, too. I seeked in google groups, but haven't found any solution for SuSE-systems. Do I need a normal startup script for tftpd that should be copied into /etc/init.d!? I think no, because inetd.conf fires this up? If I'd know, where the problem is... > GW> Linux ist kostenlos, Windoofs umsonst... > Wie wahr.
