I think I've got ya...


Its only one terminal that is crashing the system....
I think thasts because of low phisical memory or... low swap memory in lts.conf....
cause the user said that only crashes when he try to open large XSC files....


Im going to do some tests.... later I'll post the results.....


Ps.. the kill -9 doesn't work...

I do not know why it is happening, but did you try to kill it with the -9 option to get rid of it. I have had some issues with that as well and this seems to get rid of the running process and allow me to restart Open Office without rebooting.
