Todd,

Have you removed the symlink for /opt/ltsp/i386/var, which should
point to /tmp/var ?

>From the servers perspective, that link will appear broken,
but for the workstation, during the startup, it creates a ramdisk
and mounts it on /tmp, then creates a /tmp/var subdirectory, which
makes the /var symlink valid.
