What we did is to make 3 partitions, one for /home, one for slash, and one for storebackup to keep 30 days of backups for /home (each on RAID 1). We made a backup of slash (the root partition) using mondo. This setup is pretty simple and seems to provide good redundency. -- A new cognitive theory of emotion, http://openheartlogic.org
