  Looks like it could be some kind of an issue then with specific
distros or perl versions. About a three weeks ago and last Wed. I
installed LTSP 4.1 on Slackware 9.1 servers and in both cases the
install failed to make the var --> /tmp/var symlink. I will try it on
a slackware 10.0 box and see if link is missing.
