i have finally been able to build lbe. plateform is debian testing ( stock 2.4 kernel source ) on uml.
here is the summary: first prepare some disk space ( 5 go is a minimum ) then prepare some coffee ( build takes some time ) the problems i stumbled on: "multiple definition" error on some packages, fixed by adding -z muldefs in LDFLAGS in followinf files: ./lbe-src/bison/package.def ./lbe-src/fileutils/package.def ./lbe-src/findutils/package.def ./lbe-src/sh_utils/package.def ./lbe-src/tar/package.def some missing lib / header files, fixed with some search on packages.debian.org | google | ltsp list. i can provide a list of installed packages on demand. i also got some 404 errors when downloading packages, fixed by modifying source line in relevant package.def test client is booting fine on kernel / ltsp tree. thanks for everybody -- -- Thomas Constans -- http://www.opendoor.fr [EMAIL PROTECTED] 04 78 68 17 34 ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
