You haven't told us anything about your clients, other than they have PXE
and they hang at uncompressing the kernel.

Also, you stated specifically that the PXE clients are having a problem. 
Does this also mean that you have Etherboot clients that are working
properly?

We could start guessing at the cause of the problem, but more info would
save us an awful lot of time.
