Ok, this is what i went through. It seems to work, but for historical reasons, just in case others have this issue.
At the client, cat /etc/fstab, gives /dev/scsi/host2/bus0/target0/lun0/part1 /tmp/drives/Flashdisk auto rw,noatime 0 0 /dev/scsi/host2/bus0/target0/lun0/disc /tmp/drives/My_Floppy auto rw,noatime 0 0 But ... ls /tmp/drives/Flashdisk returns nothing, same for My_Floppy. hostname returns ws206 which is correct. I also added -a as an option to LTSPFSD_OPTIONS, but this did not have seem to have any effect either initially. After logging into the client, I get still the icons, but ... opening them still shows the system drive, not the usb flash drive. Even though I am using Fedora, under the Debian section, I edited /etc/udev/rules.d/99-fuse.rules to be KERNEL="fuse", NAME="%k", MODE="0666",OWNER="root" GROUP="fuse" Then, did rmmod fuse ; modprobe fuse Also had to reset the permissions on /usr/bin/fusermount via chmod 4755 fusermount. and the usb device was found. Rebooted the thin client and it is still found. This is probably opening up a huge security issue, but 0660 doesn't seem to work. I use ldap for authentication, and .. everything was working, just not now. BUT ... remember I added the "-a" option. If I now remove it, I can't access the drives. Now, I am not sure exactly how many of the above are required, but the changes made are at least sufficient to get it working for tomorrow. I do know that I checked the permissions on fusermount before starting any of this and reset it initially. Oh well, at least it is working again.
