Anyway, have you installed "fuse"?
What are the rights on "/dev/fuse"?
I remember the group "fuse" has write access.
There are instructions to make "/usr/sbin/fusermount" SGID (4775).

Sorry, I have no available ltsp server to check now, and I'm relaying on
memory (I made it work several monthes ago!).
