Dear All, I has been a while since I have posted any messages to the list. I need help with the following installation.
I have Fedora Core 6 + Latest LTSP 4.2 update 4 installed. I've installed k12ltsp icewm-1.2.30-13.k12ltsp rpms for my default desktop environment. Everything workes fine for this install, I could put default icons on the desktop, lock down the menu, toolbar, ect to control what users can do and what not. 1. The problem I'm having is that I have installed Pykota (www.pykota.com/software) and using "pykosd" to display the users' printing balances. The error I'm getting is: ERROR: PyKota v1.26alpha6_unofficial ERROR: pykosd failed ERROR: Traceback (most recent call last): ERROR: File "/usr/bin/pykosd", line 192, in ? ERROR: retcode = cmd.main(args, options) ERROR: File "/usr/bin/pykosd", line 136, in main ERROR: display = pyosd.osd(font=options["font"], colour=color, timeout=duration, shadow=2) ERROR: File "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/pyosd/__init__.py", line 86, in __init__ ERROR: self.set_font(font) ERROR: File "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/pyosd/__init__.py", line 145, in set_font ERROR: _pyosd.set_font(self._osd, font) ERROR: error: Requested font not found xrdb: "*Label.background" on line 243 overrides entry on line 170 xrdb: "*Text.background" on line 249 overrides entry on line 211 2. If I uninstall the K12LTSP icewm rpms install Icewm with "yum -y install icewm" the icewm-1.2.32-3.fc6 version is installed and than "pykosd" is working, but not desktop icons is displayed. Thanks.
