Francis, I have a different problem. First, the fix above is in GDM 2.20.1, which I am using. Second, the description of the problem in Gnome#478441 describes a different problem: the count of current sessions not decreasing after logouts. My main problem is I cannot define the maximum number of sessions, which stays at the default of 16.
