I asked this on the Edubuntu list but on my Gutsy ltsps clients Pulse Audio sound works, but the Gnome panel volume applet doesn't adjust the volume.
If I view the applet's preferences PulseAudio is not listed (only ALSA and OSS). Is there a component that must be added so the volume applet will work with Pulse Audio? Another issue I have is that the volume applet sometimes doesn't start or will end during the session. Gnome also sometimes starts and says that its settings could not be loaded (so I get a default theme).
