Am I really the only one with this problem? I installed numerous Ubuntu
machines before and never came across this problem if the login password
and the keyring password are the same. There must be something unique to
the Ubuntu fat client installation installed by the LTSP server. The
option "automatically unlock the keyring when the user logs in" is
greyed out on the fat client, but not when the same user logs in on the
LTSP server itself. There everything works as it should.

Which is the recommended LTSP version? Currently I'm running the version
from the Ubuntu repository.

server packages:
ii ldm-server 2:2.2.9-1ubuntu0.1
ii ltsp-server 5.3.7-0ubuntu2.5
un ltsp-utils <none>
un ltspfs <none>

I also tried 5.4.x from ppa.launchpad.net/ts.sch.gr/ppa/ubuntu, but
can't get it to work at all. I might open a new thread for that...
