Matt, I do agree with your noteworthy note. And, yes, you are correct.
Unfortunately, I don't have another box to test as the server. I am going
to try the alternate NICs, though, once I find which carton they have been
exiled to.
I would like to post what a few of the configurations in my Ed/Ubuntu
installations look like, as they are significantly different and work
differently w/regard to LTSP, if y'all don't mind.
With each recent re/installation, I chose the same ... for Ubuntu, F4
brought up the Modes dialog and I selected to install an LTSP server ...
for Edubuntu I elected to install the LTSP server at the graphical prompt.
I haven't done a completely manual LTSP installation in a non-LTSP
environment for awhile, but as my result was the same.
I'm going to make two more posts. The first with the Ubuntu LTSP config
stuff (ifconfig, dhcpd.conf, etc.) and the second with the Edubuntu stuff.
I hope that's acceptable. Here goes ...
