As suggested on IRC, I tried startx for the user on the server and all run well, no error. Logging in the from lightdm on the server, is also not a problem, I can change the session as well and it works fine. It's only when I log in from the thin client hardware, that I have this problem. Are there logs that I should look in? I only have the single line in .xsession-errors that is the subject of the this thread. I can delete the user's profile, but then I still won't know what caused this problem... :-( thanks again Roland
