Hi, the Ubuntu/LTSP packaging is broken, anyone interested in getting LTSP to work properly in Ubuntu 14.04 should read this bug report: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/upstart/+bug/1457730
Fixed packages are available in the PPA that is mentioned in that bug report.
