Now, regarding Lua for Windows, it is getting a bit old. It packages LuaRocks 2.0.2 and Lanes 2.0.4, whereas the latest Lanes is version 2.1.0. Also, it happens that somehow I have ended up as the Lanes maintainer, so I need to build it from time to time :-). I haven't seriously peeked at the rockspec yet so I don't really know how to improve it, but that was part of my motivation to get luarocks running. And as I tend to be the early adopter type, I wanted the latest version, and I wanted to avoid depending on another distro to refresh it :-)
