MIT created the benchmark utility, which calibrates for 64s also. I don't know many NUTS who go to MIT. This was also backed by NASA who requested this from MIT. After Intel reemed them earlier from the original production and promises from the first Pentium processors in which Intel used their own benchmark software. That was kind of the fox guarding the hen house. So AMD came out with their own as well. i -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Randall Oshita Sent: Sunday, December 29, 2002 7:34 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [luau] Hyper technology
Just curious, how are you measuring your performance benchmarks. I did some searchs on hyperthreading benchmarks, and none of them indicate anywhere near that kind of performance increase. The performance improvements are usually under 10%. --jc well you also need to take into consideration what platform he was on before. So linux dan what was your system prior? Because, ya 200% is nuts!! Randall _______________________________________________ LUAU mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://videl.ics.hawaii.edu/mailman/listinfo/luau
