But that is the situation with much faster machines too. I hasten to add that I'm not complaining, but fact remains that it was not easy to install 12.x even on a 1GB PC @ 2GHz. I persisted because of my good experience with Lubuntu 10.04 on a slower PC, but sometimes friends to whom I recommend Lubuntu have suspected a prank ! Then I had to go and help install it ( after which they are full of praise for Lubuntu ) Seriously, the installer needs attention. 10s of minutes without visible activity?!
