Checklist 1.
The default "Desktop" installer requires 384-800 MB of RAM (depending on selected options.) If you have problems, or if you're comfortable using a keyboard interface, try the alternate installer<https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Lubuntu/Alternate_ISO> to install on computers with less RAM or a hard disk smaller than 4.3 GB. 2. Burn <https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BurningIsoHowto> the CD OR create a bootable USB flash drive - using UNetbootin<http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/> is highly recommended 3. Check USB or CD Disc for Errors. When you boot the default installer, you will see the option to "Check Disc For Errors", otherwise, check for errors manually<https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Lubuntu/Documentation/CheckISO_CD> . 4. Read Known Issues<https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QuantalQuetzal/ReleaseNotes/Lubuntu#QuantalQuetzal.2BAC8-ReleaseNotes.2BAC8-CommonInfrastructure-1.Installation> for the install process (In the Release Notes<https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QuantalQuetzal/ReleaseNotes/Lubuntu> ). @Phill IMHO, it would be better to check MD5SUM before burning a LiveCD or create a LiveUSB for those who are downloading manually or directly. As for those who are using Torrent (even I'm not sure how it works when md5sum is already checked), that is different story. As I mentioned earlier, we need to cover everything from A-Z and make it as simple as possible for new comers. You agree?
