As I "want" all of them I don't see why this should be faster at all...
Then have a look at the Hits class. It is doing more work for caching and keeping a most recently used collection of documents around. By using a HitCollector you are bypassing those mechanisms. Whether it is measurably faster would depend on several other factors.
