I guess to me this falls into "we do our business on the public list" aspect to me. Sure, board@ is a private list, but I just don't see this as an example of some of the only things at Apache (personnel issues) that we discuss in private. OTOH, I could care less on this one about approaching the IPMC, or anyone else for that matter, and pushing my point or getting those docs updated.
