Might sound silly, but have you tried sending a mail first to that  
address you are trying to access? For one reason or another, some imap  
mail boxes are not created till a mail is sent to them first.  
Oh by the way, are you using virtualdomains and users or not?  
If you are, watch out for the end / when creating the users mail  
directory. I have ever spent a night awake because of that.
