George, I find it interesting you don't want some of your hosts to pick IP's. I guess this means you don't expect them to have any form of TCP/IP connectivity. Well, unless you are going to use other routed protocols, e.g., IPX, or non-routed protocols, e.g., NetBEUI, why not plug them off the network altogether? If you have a switch, simply put them in a separate VLAN that the DHCP server isn't a member of, and they'll never here a BootP/DHCP broadcast. Mark.
