Personally we have two networks that I have worked on that use win2k3 and SuSE 9.1 and 9.2.

We have never re-installed the suse boxes (we upgraded one box to suse 10 just recently to see what its like). They just sit there working day and night like the house elves in Harry Potter. The win2k3 servers have been re-installed 3 times (one twice). Worms took them out.

Shitty things that I hate about win2k3.  Having to install antispyware to protect the server (because you sometimes have to surf from the beast).
Antivirus (not to filter the mail on exchange but to protect itself).

Installing a microsoft patch (SP1) then having the server refuse to boot!

Not being able to set the unique UID of a person so that if they are deleted and re-added they can still own the same files as before (even if active directory is removed and reinstalled ... or thw whole system re-installed).  You have to go back to each and every folder and their sub-folders and reset all the permissions.

on win2k3 install-app=reboot ..... uninstall-app=reboot  (..nuff said ....screaming users... loosing their documents)

Things I love about linux
apt-get
tcpdump
ssh (you can fix servers while still in bed....... just need a neighbor with a open access point :-) )
tail -f <log file>
many many more

I liked the papers but didn't mind about the subject though.Besides can see it was a reliability test sponsored by the loser :-) .Did they mind about a scalabilty or even a  reboot test? :-) Have seen win2003 and felt SuSE but.......... http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserversystem/facts/lp1/02/default02.mspx
