Hi All

Interestingly I attended a wougnet workshop the last two days on women in
ICT enterprises. Some of the obstacles noted were

Balancing work and home life, and Gender stereotyping which I believe is
probably the biggest obstacle for as I read our online discusion most of our
views all seem to point to gender stereotyping. But also another view was
that women are very passive and not prepared to stand up and fight for their
corner. Which we are kind of also realising here I know they are a number
of women on this list but they are all quiet.

Ladies lets here your views if you want to change the misconceptions you
have to be part of that change.

Anyway sugested questions are :

What are the main factors hampering more women from being deeply involved in
IT?

A) Balancing crazy work hours and a famliy life ?

B) Stereotyping by potential employers and society that IT is not for women

C) Most women just have no interest in IT
