This mast sharing thing looks easy to talk about, but try think of how to
implement it. Of course put in mind that the height at which the antenna is
placed matters greatly, not forgetting that apart from MTN and in some
places UTL, most use Microwave antennas to propagate the signal further....
so , please, picture a single mast in Ntinda every few miles for all current
4 telcos, remembering that there is 3 more who are coming along soon... not
to mention site access problems. do they share a single room housing the
equipment, do they share the generator? are these utilities provided for by
all telcos?

much as a one-mast policy may look neat... there are a few things that we
may be missing on it.

Any radio transmission gurus to educate us on what it takes to setup a mast
for a given telco... you know, the elevations, distance between masts
(different antennas being used of course), inteference...

Of course, you might discount this possibility, but remember that one in
a million chances happen 99% of the time.
