I posit that the next generation will be quite some way
away. If anything, there will be only incremental updates
to the fundamental design in future releases, but overall,
the design should remain the same.

I like the new graphics card in the MacBook, a far cry from
what we are getting today. What's wicked, though, is that
the Pro has two of them, hehe...

Of course, my biggest complaint with the current generation
has been the build quality. The whole thing simply falls
apart. Right now, bits of plastic are broken off, and I see
a crack has developed on the attachment between the display
and the main structure. Good thing they have Time
Machine :-).

One of the biggest complaints I've seen on the new
generation is the lack of a matte display. A couple of
folks aren't too thrilled with the new glossy look, citing
glare and rear reflections. I've experienced these issues,
but that's not a show-stopper for me... I quite like the
new LED-based displays.

Overall, it's good. Seeing as my current unit is falling to
pieces, it's time to complain to HR :-).

Mark.
