It is true that voice and video (carried over IP) are just another data set on the network, but given their unique network attribute requirements, both the Voice/Video and Network guys have to work together to deliver the same level of quality enjoyed by existing non-IP technologies. Service consolidation (onto the IP backbone) is much more involving than split delivery methods. Cheers, Mark.
