Sorry to hear that dude it was a good one, we had approx. 30 people show
up. Covered a intro to Nagios, (a big thanks to Kyle for showing us a
live system), demo'd booting Ubuntu 9.04 Live and everything working out
of the box and then lots of cool interesting p2p discussions and quick
support sessions on all things geek, internet Linux and so on. I think I
can say with confidence it was a great success. It was suggested that
we find alternative venues, which I think was a great suggestion so
answers welcome. That having been said I would like to say a big big big
thank you to the team at EACOSS, who where incredibly helpful and made
the meet pass so easily, and had to kick us out at the end as we
wouldn't leave and they had a class to teach! So we stood outside the
door and chatted some more.
We did not get a chance to redo the Windows XP box. They have a UTL ISDN
line, so need someone to confirm if they have experience setting this up
under Linux? In which case we have a future topic! I think everyone
agreed the voting for the topic was a great idea, it was suggested that
maybe it could be allowed for you to vote multiple times from a single
IP, I think this is to cater for LAN's people behind proxies. We gave
out lots of Ubuntu 9.04 CD,s (thanks Jan), FAN Fully Automated Nagios
CD's, and evan Damn Small Linux and PuppyLinux got a mention.
A big thanks to all those who showed up, and I think we can look forward
to the next one at the end of May. We will keep thinks posted on
www.linux.or.ug once James has managed to point it over to
linux.mountbattenhosting.net otherwise just check there. We had lots of
offers to help edit the site also, so can sort out a team to manage that.

Hi Guys,
Ok, just another reminder to see you all there at 4.00pm if possible. I
am going to pop down a little earlier say 1.30-2.00 and arrange
furniture and setup the projector. If anyone care to join me the help
would be great.
See some of you later I hope!
