For Linux boxes, use PING. In my opinion it's dead simple and not overloaded with features you won't use.

You can configure your own pre-compiled ISO by modifying the config files, so that in the end all you have to do is boot up with that disc in the drive and it'll go to work. Come back 15 minutes later and you've got a working PC.
