If it is any help, the last time I checked (last Thursday), it costs 110,000 /= for a pre-paid BlackBerry subscription on MTN Uganda. I believe if you use the iPhone then it can just be usage/volume based. Ok maybe you misunderstood the context of my question. I am flying into kampala nect week. i will have my unlocked blackberry and/or iphone. If i get a sim card from one of the local providers, how much will it cost to purchase a data plan. I do not want to tether, i just want mobile web and email. I looked on the MTN site and all they had was pricing for tethering devices. Can i expect the price for mobile data to be the same or not.
