The community version of Zimbra also doesn't come with backup/restore functionality last I checked. That said, I do believe I saw a few 3rd party scripts floating around the Internet to handle this, though I haven't tried any myself.
Furthermore, even if you wanted to use your own backup solution (rdiff-backup, Bacula, etc), you still can't easily restore individual e-mails/mailboxes/etc because Zimbra Community uses some ridiculous form of maildir+indexing with randomized filenames & paths for storage. Also, last time I worked with it there was no good way of saving sent-items to an external IMAP-accounts sent-items folder. Simon, do these issues still persist in the newer versions? Also, does the community version have LDAP support?
