Did you unpack the file i.e. tar xvzf file-name and then go though the entire install process. Usually the README and INSTALL files contain all the necessary instructions for getting the package installed. However if this is a version of Redhat, it probably would be a lot easier if you used an rpm package rather than installing from source.
