Hi Guys,

It has been pointed out that apart from Orange, none of the ISP's currently
list procedures for installing their various modems under Linux.

I would like your help to rectify this. If anyone is subscribed from an ISP,
can we discuss how we can support these under Linux?

I started by having the 3G APN's listed in Ubuntu which is now the case for all
the ISP's I have checked and know MTN's works but without other ISP's modems I
can't do much more.

I'd be happy to spend time and effort on this but would need modems from each
ISP to test? Is this something you guys can assist with. Doesn't need tons of
b/w just enough to get it connected.

By the way if I am wrong about the support then can people send over links and
I'll update the website.

I know some of the modems just work, which is fine but some i.e. fortis do not.
That is what I would like to fix.

I know that support is an issue and your various organisations may not want to
have the added cost of supporting Linux, can I therefore suggest you redirect
them to us?

Any other thoughts or ideas on this?

Simon
