Opensource is a bit of a stretch. If you create an account on their site you can test some of their products and see if it is as advertised. My company is close to switching to the paid version since we have more than 30 ESXi servers and need centralized management and clustering capabilities. This is where the paid version shines. After crossing the 20 server threshold it makes sense to upgrade
