Hmm -

For now, it would probably good to keep a little silent about those solutions, 
else the thief may never have to contact anyone for help. On a more serious 
note, I once thought about a possibility of Apple re-sellers making it a little 
difficult for fellows to buy accessories that easily - for instance, if they 
maintained a database of Mac owners, it would be easy to track down Mac 
thieves, considering that most notebooks are stolen without power cables, 
etc... This would of course beat business logic, but Eye Care Center for 
instance maintains a databank of clients that have ever been served...
