Well he was always very vocal in his criticism of software freedom,
and did his best to undermine it (where is the Linux version of iTunes
for instance?). But we could argue about his legacy all day, and it is
being discussed around the web ad nauseum at the moment. Anyway as you
say its a discussion for elsewhere and has little or no relevance to a
LUG.
