There is an option in evolution I believe to decide if your sent items should 
be stored locally or on the server. Have a look for that.

has someone figured out how to synchronise mail sent via mail clients 
(evolution) with webmail, such that when i send my mails via the client, they 
automatically appear in the sent mail folder on webmail.
