I had my HTC Desire for over a year now and it has never hang so far. Battery
life only sucks if you constantly enable Data communication / wifi / GPS (just
like most smart phones).
I use a widget to easily disable/enable 3G, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth, Data Syncing
and Background Lighting. That way I get some decent battery life out of my
droid.

The default email app sucks but I installed this other one that is pretty
decent and supports my email servers self signed security certificates without
any hustle, which IIRC was a pain to get to work on my iPhone.

BTW when texting someone, dialing that persons number is as easy as pressing
the text or image of the person and selecting the phone icon :)

I also like the way i can link all my social media contacts with the contacts
on the droid.

Regards,
